After spending nearly six months shooting Londontown last year, this year I’ve barely picked up my camera. Pretty much all photos snapped in 2015 were taken with my iPhone. I’m not too bothered by this because I know my creativity ebbs and flows between my two loves (photography and writing) but it does underline how home-based I’ve been this year. The older I get the less I want to run around. Looking through my photos for these posts I notice my favourites are from specific days out with my family or friends — that B&W selfie below is one of probably only three or four I shot this year. I’m just less interested in the outside — I know what I look like. I accept the good and the “bad” and I’d really rather contemplate my inside reflection. That’s so much more interesting to me these days…

I find this very interesting that you are so relaxed about photography these days. I’ve followed your blog since the beginning of my own for nearly six years now – initially for the image inspiration… This year I have not been as prolific in my own imagery and felt kind of sad about this but words do seem to flow more easily especially ones reflecting deeply from the inside. Glad to know I’m not on my own! Love the line-up here. x
