Something for the weekend

A shorter SFTW today as I’ve been out and about a lot this week and not so tied to the computer (which is a good thing!). Continuing on with the theme of annoying-health-convert here’s my current favourite post-workout smoothie — measurements are approximate (dsp — dessert spoon):

Half cup fresh blueberries
Cup of fresh strawberries
Cup of fresh mango
half cup almond milk
2 large dsps of Greek yoghurt (full fat)
1 dsp maca powder
1 dsp hemp protein powder
1 dsp raw cacao powder
1 dsp milled flaxseeds & nuts
One cup filtered water (maybe bit less)

Blend it. Drink it. Feel virtuous. You could also add baby spinach but I prefer to have that in a salad for lunch.

I do love an arty home

“I was lucky in that I had a mother that was full of this colloquial wisdom and she used to say to me ‘You know, failure is not the opposite of success, it’s the stepping stone to success. There is nobody who has not failed along the way.’ So I think its very important for young women, especially as they are starting in life, to recognize that because otherwise, they only see people’s success. So, when I speak, I speak of my failures.” – Arianna Huffington

And finally, Google Reader will be closing down on Monday, so if you’re reading this blog there it’s time to switch to a new feed reader! I’m now using Feedly — the switch over hasn’t been too traumatising — and hear good things about Bloglovin, too. You can also subscribe to this blog via email and get all my new posts straight to your inbox :)

Enjoy the weekend, loves xo

I blogged about it here: http://www.laurentober.com/2/post/2013/06/we-the-highly-sensitive-people.html. Thanks for the link xxx
