New Yorkers

I’m home. I’m tired. I’ve a LOT of Polaroids to scan and i’m counting down the minutes till I see Wobble. There’s lots to share, but first some sleep. And shots of that wonderfully unique tribe: the New Yorkers…

So one reason why I love visiting your blog and looking at your pictures is that the sites you see where you live feel so different, but somehow familiar to me. Your home, your world is so different from mine, and yet it feels like they very well could be aspects of my life.

And then! Then you come to NYC – just miles from where I call home. You experience sights that are comfortable to me – yellow cabs, pretzels vendors with their steaming metal carts, and gray. So many ways to see gray, grey, silver, steel. Everything is now SO very familiar and yet seeing it through your lens, it is somehow different.

I’m jet lagged too. I may be talking in circles. Or just too much.

    xo

this is one of the things i love about photography – put 10 photographers in a city and they’ll show you ten different ways to see the same place. magic :)
